“Confidence is the freedom to set your own standards and unshackle yourself from the need to prove yourself.” – Ryan Holiday, Stillness Is the Key
I’ll admit I’m a total self-help nerd. I’m constantly reading and researching ways to improve my mindset in order to achieve my own dreams. And one huge takeaway from my own self-help journey is that creating a positive and productive mindset takes confidence.
It takes confidence to be yourself, define your values, and do what it takes to live them wholeheartedly.
Your confidence will be what gets you through your rigorous course load, pushes you to go above and beyond in your own Passion Project, and encourages you to click “submit” on that application to your dream school.
You can do all of these things. Believing that you can is the first step.
If you don’t have the confidence in yourself to be the best applicant your dream school has seen, you won’t even give yourself the chance to try! Your confidence is ESSENTIAL in determining your success.
You may have never wandered into the self-help section of your local bookstore. But for now, I’ll save you the trip.
In this episode, I want to explore why confidence is the ULTIMATE key to success in your high school career, your college admissions journey, and the rest of your life.
